Memory Care Support Partner 7pm-7am $18-24 (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Vitalia Solon. This full-time position involves providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be responsible for understanding residents' unique needs, interests, and abilities to develop and implement personalized engagement plans. This role also involves preparing the environment to enhance the resident experience, assisting with daily life activities, documenting resident care, and orienting new team members. We are looking for individuals who are at least eighteen years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, can communicate effectively in English, have a positive attitude, and are comfortable with computer use.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, libraries, and resident rooms.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
