Memory Care Support Partner 11pm-7am $18.50-28 (Part Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Barrymore located in Kansas City, MO. This part-time role operates on Friday and Saturday from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. As a Memory Care Support Partner, you will be an Advocate of Empathy, creating human connections with residents during their vulnerable moments. You will be a Patient Observer, discovering residents' interests and abilities to create appropriate engagement plans. You will also be a Master of the Mise en Scène, responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing environments for meals, events, and resident routines. Additionally, you will act as a Life Partner, assisting residents with all facets of their daily lives from waking to sleep, and be responsible for documenting resident care and changes in condition, as well as assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms to setting up activity spaces and preparing resident rooms for routines.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Document resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
