About The Position

We are looking for someone to be an Advocate of Empathy, understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments. You will be a Patient Observer, discovering residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident unique, then collaborating to create appropriate engagement plans and implementing strategies with patience to ensure success. As a Master of the Mise en Scène, you will be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms and libraries to setting up resident rooms for their nighttime routine. You will also be a Life Partner, assisting residents with all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping, documenting resident care and changes in condition, and assisting with the orientation of new team members in memory care neighborhoods.

Requirements

At least eighteen (18) years of age.
High school diploma, or equivalent.
Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
Positive and energetic attitude.
Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
Must be criminally cleared.
