About The Position

Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Vitalia Senior Residences at Westlake. This part-time role focuses on providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. You will be responsible for understanding resident needs, developing engagement plans, preparing the environment for daily activities, and partnering with residents throughout their day. Excellent documentation of resident care and changes in condition is essential, as is assisting with the orientation of new team members. This position requires a positive and energetic attitude, strong communication skills in English, and basic computer proficiency. The role involves significant physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and frequently lifting up to 50 pounds. You will also assist residents with mobility and in case of falls. A commitment to empathy and creating a positive living experience for our residents is paramount.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
  • Positive and energetic attitude.
  • Computer skills for printing documents and entering resident information.
  • Must be active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
  • Must be criminally cleared.

Responsibilities

  • Create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments through empathy.
  • Observe residents to discover their interests, abilities, and unique characteristics.
  • Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience.
  • Set the stage for a successful day by preparing dining rooms, activity spaces, and resident rooms.
  • Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from waking to sleeping.
  • Document resident care and changes in condition accurately.
  • Assist with the orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
