Memory Care Support Partner 6pm-6am $18-27 (Full Time)
About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Memory Care Support Partner to join our team at Hudson Grande in Hudson, OH. This full-time position involves providing empathetic care and creating meaningful connections with residents in our memory care neighborhoods. The role requires a patient observer, adept at understanding resident needs and interests to develop effective engagement plans. You will also be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing the environment, partnering with residents throughout their daily lives, and meticulously documenting resident care and changes in condition. This role also includes assisting with the orientation of new team members in the memory care unit.
Requirements
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Must be active as this role requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Must be criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be responsible for understanding the importance of empathy and creating human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are.
- Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day by preparing the dining room, library, or resident rooms.
- Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
