About The Position

The Qualified Medication Aide (QMA) in our Memory Care Neighborhood supports the health, safety, and well-being of residents in our specialized memory care neighborhood. In this role, you will provide medication administration, resident monitoring, documentation, and person-centered care while helping create a safe, supportive, and engaging environment for older adults with dementia and memory-related conditions.

Requirements

• Active and unencumbered CNA and QMA certifications as required by the state of practice.
• Must be willing and able to complete the Trilogy Legacy Dementia Education Program during orientation and annually thereafter, as well as maintain competency validation.

Nice To Haves

• 0-1 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Previous caregiving, hospitality, customer service, senior living, healthcare, memory care, or related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with state regulations, physician orders, and community policies.
• Provide compassionate, person-centered care through dementia-informed practices to support the residents' dignity, independence, and quality of life.
• Monitor residents for changes in health, behavior, and well-being, documenting observations and reporting concerns to the nursing care team.
• Collaborate with nurses, caregivers, physicians, pharmacists, and families to ensure exceptional resident care and continuity of services.
• Utilize effective dementia-focused communication techniques to support residents with cognitive impairment and behavioral changes.
• Deliver hands-on personal resident care, including assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility, and dining support as needed.
