About The Position

Lakewood Reserve Senior Living is seeking an energetic, reliable, and compassionate Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator to lead our Memory Care life enrichment program and help create meaningful moments for our residents every day. The Memory Care Life Enrichment Coordinator is responsible for planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive life enrichment program designed specifically for residents living with memory loss. This role creates meaningful, engaging experiences that promote purpose, dignity, independence, and joy while supporting residents' physical, emotional, cognitive, social, and spiritual well-being. In addition to leading resident programming, this position serves as a resource for the Memory Care team by providing dementia education and training to staff to ensure best practices in memory care.

Requirements

  • Previous Memory Care activities experience is required.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, energetic, patient, and compassionate.
  • Must be dependable, flexible, and a self-starter.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing resident needs.
  • Ability to safely lift and move up to 50 pounds, including tables, chairs, and activity equipment on a regular basis.
  • Must successfully complete all required background screenings and pre-employment requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with seniors, particularly individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate engaging life enrichment programs tailored to Memory Care residents.
  • Lead a variety of daily activities including: Exercise and movement classes, Music and sing-alongs, Brain fitness and cognitive activities, Arts and crafts, Games and sports, Reading groups, Holiday celebrations and special events, Sensory and reminiscence programming.
  • Observe resident participation, mood, behavior, and engagement, adjusting programming to meet individual needs.
  • Involve residents and families in developing meaningful activity plans.
  • Maintain activity calendars, documentation, and required records.
  • Collaborate with nursing, caregiving, dining, and leadership teams to provide a holistic resident experience.
  • Lead and facilitate Memory Care training and dementia education for staff.
  • Create a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment that supports residents' quality of life.
  • Assist with community events and special programming as needed.
