TerraBella Senior Living is hiring a Memory Care Coordinator for its community, Gardens of Gainesville. This role is responsible for the development and implementation of programs within the Memory Care Program, providing physical and emotional support to residents, and maintaining a safe, home-like environment. The Memory Care Coordinator will design, schedule, and facilitate programs incorporating life skills and dementia-appropriate activities, partnering with the Memory Care Director to ensure a variety of activities are available and that Care Managers are engaged. The position also involves providing in-service education to Memory Care staff, reviewing resident preferences prior to move-in, facilitating Service Plan and Daily Assignment Sheet development, and acting as a community champion for Memory Care programming. Collaboration with dining services to meet resident needs and participation in the dining experience are also key aspects. The role requires understanding resident changes in condition and reporting to the nurse, establishing a relationship with the local Alzheimer's Association, and developing tailored programming for residents with Alzheimer's Disease or related dementias. Creating a therapeutic environment focused on first impressions and resident engagement is essential. The role also includes Quality Assurance and Regulatory Compliance, striving for excellent care, developing action plans for deficiencies, and maintaining a thorough knowledge of state laws and regulations for resident care.
