MC Caregiver
About The Position
Memory Care Caregivers play a vital role in helping residents maintain comfort, dignity, and quality of life. This position provides hands-on assistance with daily living activities while building meaningful relationships and supporting residents through every stage of their journey. Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to communicate effectively and document care accurately.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate, patient, and resident-focused approach.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- CPR, First Aid, and AED certification required or ability to obtain within required timeframe.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English effectively.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with older adults preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support and assistance to residents while promoting safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
- Assist with meal service, dining support, and hydration needs.
- Monitor residents and report changes in condition, behavior, or safety concerns.
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and meaningful engagement opportunities.
- Assist residents with appointments, activities, and community participation.
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow individualized service plans.
- Assist with housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Follow infection prevention, safety, and emergency procedures.
- Support a calm, welcoming, and resident-centered environment.
