About The Position
Arrow Senior Living is seeking a Memory Care Support Partner for a Full Time position at The Boulevard Senior Living in St. Charles, Missouri. This role involves creating human connection with residents, observing their interests and abilities to develop engagement plans, preparing the environment for daily activities, and partnering with residents throughout their day. The position also requires documenting resident care, assisting with team member orientation, and providing direct resident assistance. Arrow Senior Living manages a collection of senior living communities offering independent living, assisted living, and memory care across 6 states and employs nearly 2,200 individuals.
Requirements
- At least eighteen (18) years of age.
- High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Read, write, understand, and communicate in English with residents.
- Positive and energetic attitude.
- Computer skills to print documents and enter resident information.
- Active role requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall.
- Criminally cleared.
Responsibilities
- Be an Advocate of Empathy: Understand the importance of empathy and create human connection with residents during their most vulnerable moments.
- Be a Patient Observer: Discover residents’ interests, abilities, and what makes each resident who they are. Collaborate to create appropriate engagement plans and implement strategies with patience to ensure success.
- Be a Master of the Mise en Scène: Be responsible for setting the stage for a successful day, from preparing dining rooms and event spaces to preparing resident rooms for their nighttime routine.
- Be a Life Partner: Partner with residents to achieve all facets of daily life from the moment they wake to the moment they go to sleep.
- Be excellent at documenting resident care and changes in condition.
- Assist with orientation of team members assigned to memory care neighborhoods.
