About The Position

Responsible for assisting the Director of Life Enrichment in planning, scheduling and coordinating meaningful activities appropriate to the needs and interests of residents and conducive to their physical, mental and social well-being. Help to ensure the activity programs are appropriately presented by staff. This role promotes a healthy community culture for all residents and employees through a whole-person approach to health and wellness, encompassing eight dimensions of wellness: Emotional, Environmental, Health Services, Intellectual, Physical, Social, Spiritual and Vocational. The coordinator ensures and exceeds residents’ wellness needs relating to their mind, body and soul, which may also have a positive effect on the employees. The position also involves providing individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in disease prevention and management, and assisting in tracking activity participation for Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents.

Requirements

  • High School degree required.

Nice To Haves

  • Activities certification preferred.
  • Previous Memory Care experience preferred.
  • One year of experience in a social or recreational program in a licensed health care setting preferred.
  • Background in music, art, drama, and dance therapy preferred.
  • Experience working with or performing for the senior population is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director of Life Enrichment with planning, scheduling, and coordinating all resident activities including special events following the Life Enrichment programs (Lifestyles and Health Services, Embrace the World, Ambassador, and Heartfelt Connections Memory Care Program) on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure active facilitation and successful implementation of the LCS Extraordinary Impressions hospitality program, LCS Cares Program and the Lifestyle & Healthy Services Program.
  • Assist in the planning and coordination of a balanced program of spiritual, emotional, intellectual, vocational, social, physical and environmental activities with the intent of including all residents in some area of lifestyle activity.
  • Promote a healthy community culture for all residents and employees.
  • Ensure and exceed residents’ wellness needs relating to their mind, body and soul.
  • Provide individual and group educational opportunities for residents and staff in the area of disease prevention and management in the holistic spirit of the Lifestyle and Health Services Wellness Program.
  • Assist in tracking of activity participation for all Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care residents.
