Memory Care Activities Assistant
About The Position
This role involves making a difference in the lives of residents by providing care and compassion. The Memory Care Activities Assistant will act as a positive teammate, help onboard new employees, and encourage residents to participate in daily activities to enhance their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. The position requires using a passion for serving others to motivate residents in their health and wellness, carrying out activities based on residents' varied backgrounds, needs, and enjoyment. Additionally, the role involves recruiting, organizing, training, and recognizing volunteers to expand the activity program and involving resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to increase resident participation.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with geriatric population is preferred
- CNA certification is preferred. Must be open to getting CNA certification within the first six (6) months of employment

- Recruits, organizes, trains and recognizes volunteers to expand and supplement the activity program, while including as many residents as possible
- Involves resident families, the community, and volunteers in activities to increase the overall participation of residents as active contributors to their well-being
