You will proactively communicate and address safety concerns. Your duties will include setting up, operating, and cleaning membrane production equipment, handling and mixing chemicals according to prescribed formulas and procedures (strong acids, bases, and solvents are used in regular process), and accurately entering production data into database, forms, logs, and SAP. You will also move raw materials and finished products to proper locations, monitor and document raw material and final product quality, making adjustments to coating processes to assure membrane meets specifications, and perform and document cell tests on membrane. Troubleshooting to identify and correct root cause of malfunction to minimize scrap, and following all life-critical policies and procedures (Lock-out/Tag-Out, Confined Space Entry, Line-Break) are also key responsibilities. Additionally, you will contain, label, store, and transfer hazardous waste according to applicable regulations, and may be required to unload and test bulk chemical tankers. Supporting area cycle counts, inventory control, SAP transactions, performing regularly scheduled maintenance and calibration procedures, preparing and packaging membrane samples, and assisting in process changes and new product development are also part of the role. Any additional duties assigned by Supervisor, Facilitator, or Lead will also be performed.
