About The Position

The YMCA of Orange County is a leading non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. We are actively seeking highly engaged, intentional, and service-oriented individuals for a part-time Membership Services position. This role is a profound opportunity to directly impact the lives of the communities we serve by fostering genuine connections, practicing exceptional hospitality, and creating a safe, positive, and enriching environment where every interaction is meaningful. The Membership Services staff will help to create a welcoming experience for members while promoting programs that encourage health and wellness within our community. Location: Newport Mesa Work Schedule: Looking for staff with availability during the hours listed. Weekends may be required as needed. Monday - Friday 5:15am - 11:00am

Requirements

H.S. diploma or equivalent required
1 - 3 years' experience in sales, marketing, customer service, or a related field is preferred.
Knowledge of customer service, excellent communication skills, and PC ability required.
First Aid and CPR certifications required (training provided and paid for by the YMCA).

Responsibilities

Practice Intentionality: Serve as the primary contact, creating a warm and professional environment for all members. Handle all inquiries, payments, and concerns with care.
Drive Community Growth: Actively engage with current and prospective members through facility tours and interviews to promote memberships and programs. Proactively generate new prospects through consistent follow-up, tracking, and collaboration with program teams
Exemplify Core Values: Uphold Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility while handling check-ins, cash management, and maintaining an organized lobby and workspace.
Data Management & Program Support: Perform essential clerical tasks, manage data entry/retrieval, communicate program details, and assist with registrations. Be proactive with knowledge of all program information and changes.
