About The Position

This job assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the Sales/Membership Department. The role involves explaining the Fitness Center's offerings as a complete health facility with the goal of selling memberships, connecting members to fitness consultations for retention, addressing members' membership needs, and following up via phone and email with new and prospective members. The position also includes working in Corporate Outreach, maintaining required professional educational hours, explaining the basics of all programs offered for cross-selling, following proper management procedures, and consistently monitoring for safety and cleanliness of the Membership Department and the Fitness Center, while addressing issues professionally and promptly with the highest level of Customer Service. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of patient information
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
  • Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard

Responsibilities

  • Explaining what the Fitness Center offers as a complete health facility with the goal of selling memberships
  • Connecting members to fitness consultations with the goal of retaining members
  • Working with members in areas of their membership needs
  • Following up via phone and email to both new and prospective members
  • Working in the area of Corporate Outreach
  • Maintaining required professional educational hours
  • Explaining basics of all programs offered at the Fitness Center for the purpose of cross-selling
  • Following proper procedures set by management
  • Consistently monitoring for safety and cleanliness of the Membership Dept. and the Fitness Center
  • Addressing issues in a professional and timely manner with the highest level of Customer Service
  • Gives tours and sells memberships to the Fitness Center
  • Provides excellent customer service
  • Adheres to Fitness Center and company Guiding Principles
  • Answers phones, gives information, and sets sales appointments
  • Follows up on prospective and new members
  • Works with other Fitness Center departments and the organization to coordinate events and cross-sell services
  • Coordinates corporate membership outreach
  • Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations and standards
  • Reporting any known or suspected unethical or questionable behaviors or conduct; patient/employee safety, patient privacy, and/or other compliance-related concerns
