About The Position

At Salishan Coastal Lodge, we are looking for a relationship-focused, energetic, and community-driven Membership Relations Manager to oversee and grow our membership experience across golf, tennis, pickleball, wellness, and resort lifestyle programming. This is an amazing full-time opportunity based in Gleneden Beach, Oregon. This position is on-site and requires you to work from the Hotel/On property.

Requirements

  • Must be a United States citizen or possess a valid work permit.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Fluency in other languages is beneficial.
  • Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with urgency and empathy.
  • Outstanding coordination and multi-tasking abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the planning, coordination, and implementation of membership programming, projects, and engagement activities designed to increase and retain the number of members and generate additional revenues at the facility.
  • Represents the lodge in its relationships, both internally and externally, in order to promote growth and prosperity.
  • Serves as a visible ambassador for the Salishan membership community and works closely with department leaders across golf, wellness, recreation, food & beverage, and resort operations to create meaningful experiences that strengthen member satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Participates in the long-range and short-range goals and objectives related to member development.
  • Plans and implements programs designed to stimulate revenues and add to the member base of the facility.
  • Participates in the training of all facility staff with the goal of increased member satisfaction and knowledge of development programming.
  • Coordinates marketing plans designed to attract new & existing members while developing new target markets.
  • Works with the General Manager to implement programming across all membership focuses.
  • Reviews industry programs on a regular basis & implements based on business needs.
  • Coordinates all programming with appropriate department heads and staff.
  • Manages the total facility membership roster.
  • Follows-through with all membership activities including processing of applications, payments, welcome plans, facility tours, and other membership related activities.
  • Works with the Accounting team to ensure timely & accurate reporting.
  • Assists in the planning, implementation and follow-up with the facility point-of-sale system and develops member relations management tools to track member statistics, trends, participation, preferences and spending.
  • Tracks and reports the results of all programming, marketing and projects designed to develop members.
  • Organizes & attends member trips. (quarterly or semi-annually).
  • Participates in the development of a member rewards/loyalty program.
  • Be a visible ambassador of the facility.
  • Participates in related teaching programs aimed at developing new and existing customers.
  • Gathers content, designs, & publishes a monthly membership newsletter.
  • Sends out regular membership communication emails to the membership regarding upcoming events & recent results.
  • Engages homeowners & locals on a quarterly basis.
  • Attends Trade Shows as needed.
  • Assists the Professional staff in the planning, marketing, & execution of the signature member events each year.
  • Other duties as assigned.
