About The Position

The Membership Manager is responsible for driving membership sales and occupancy, managing tours and coaching the team, generating and nurturing leads, understanding the market and competitors, and closing business. This role also involves client relationship management, participating in market-wide sales initiatives, reporting on performance, managing contracts, supporting marketing and brand awareness, ensuring a smooth onboarding experience for new members, and enhancing the overall member experience and retention. The ideal candidate will stay informed on market trends and competitor offerings to ensure competitiveness and will be a visible and engaged presence within the buildings, fostering a welcoming environment and strong sense of community.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in relationship management, business development and/or sales roles in market.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Project management experience.
  • Business operations experience.
  • Demonstrates integrity, adaptability, hospitality and accountability to elevate the experience of each member.
  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and reporting or other marketing automation tools are strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed monthly membership sales and occupancy targets across two designated buildings.
  • Execute all tours, delegate standard tours to the building team, and coach team members on touring, sales administration, and best practices.
  • Proactively source, qualify, and nurture leads through networking, referrals, digital campaigns, and local outreach.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive acquisition strategies to attract new members and achieve membership growth targets.
  • Understand the overall market, competitors' strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand.
  • Conduct market research to analyze industry trends to identify potential target markets and opportunities for membership expansion.
  • Use negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts.
  • Maintain and deepen key member and broker relationships to identify and secure new opportunities for upselling and cross-selling memberships, office products, and custom enterprise packages.
  • Participate in market-wide sales projects, cross-selling initiatives, and coordinate localized campaigns tailored to each building’s demographics and needs.
  • Regularly track, analyze, and report key sales and occupancy metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership.
  • Guide members and prospective clients through the membership agreement process, ensuring terms support occupancy goals and align with company policies.
  • Support and advise on marketing campaigns, develop broker programs, attend local networking events, and connect with organizations to boost brand reputation and drive top-of-funnel growth.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver a seamless onboarding experience for new members.
  • Regularly communicate with members to understand their needs, preferences, and feedback.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor offerings, and pricing within the flexible workspace sector.
  • Be a visible and highly engaged presence within the buildings, creating a welcoming, personalized, and high-touch experience for both prospective and existing members.
  • Proactively identify and address member needs, resolve issues, gather feedback, and help create a strong sense of community and connection within the workspace.
  • Proactively monitor member satisfaction and engagement to identify potential retention risks and opportunities.
  • Support renewals by maintaining strong relationships, understanding changing member needs, and ensuring members continue to see value in their membership.
