About The Position

The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (MassNAELA) is seeking a detail oriented and proactive Membership and Program Director to support the organization’s membership services and educational programming. This is a part time remote position, approximately 10 to 20 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates located near Waltham/Newton Massachusetts to assist with occasional in-person meetings and events. Position Overview The Membership and Program Director plays a key role in supporting MassNAELA’s membership experience, committees, and programming activities. This position works closely with the Executive Director and volunteer leaders.

Requirements

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
Excellent written communication skills, including meeting note preparation
Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
Must maintain reliable internet access
Availability for occasional travel and in-person support
Experience with Zoom, Google Workspace, and Microsoft Suite

Nice To Haves

Experience with nonprofit or professional associations
Experience with membership databases or AMS systems (Wild Apricot)

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain the membership database, including data entry, renewals, and updates
Respond to member inquiries and provide general membership support
Support planning and coordination of educational programs and events
Assist with program logistics including registration tracking and materials preparation
Facilitate committee meetings including scheduling, agenda preparation, and follow up
Attend virtual meetings and prepare and distribute accurate meeting notes
Provide general administrative support as needed
Assist with occasional in-person meetings and events within Massachusetts
