About The Position

Requirements

  • 6 months retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register)
  • 6 months customer service experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

  • Assists management with the supervision of associates in assigned area of responsibility by assigning duties, communicating goals and feedback, training associates, providing direction and guidance on member service, ensuring compliance with policies, and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Participates in recruiting, hiring, scheduling, promoting, coaching, and evaluating associates.
  • Communicates and supports membership by providing information on membership types, programs, and benefits; processing memberships, upgrades, and credit accounts; encouraging renewals; participating in sales and marketing events; and completing required documentation.
  • Strives to meet membership goals and promotes the value of Sam's Club products and services.
  • Provides and ensures member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, assisting with purchasing decisions, locating merchandise, supporting self-service technology, assisting with transactions, and ensuring club pickup orders are filled.
  • Oversees assigned area of responsibility by handling claims and returns, zoning the area, arranging merchandise, identifying shrink and damages, organizing carts/flatbeds, assisting members with transporting items, and maintaining parking lot cleanliness.
  • Completes accounting records, files transactions, and other required documentation by following procedures, providing funds for register operation, creating and interpreting financial analysis reports, assisting with investigations, preparing daily deposits, overseeing Cash Fund Transfers, investigating cash drawer discrepancies, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Develops, communicates, and implements processes and practices to meet business needs by collaborating with others, analyzing information, monitoring progress, and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Demonstrates, promotes, and supports compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Leads and participates in teams by using and sharing resources, determining customer needs and business priorities, coordinating work, providing feedback, and modeling adaptation to change.
