As a Member Support Specialist (Administrative Assistant), you will serve as an ambassador for patients, ensuring an exceptional in-office experience by removing barriers to care. You will be responsible for maintaining the office's appearance to align with the One Medical brand, acting as the first point of contact for patient feedback, and providing support to the Practice Coordinator, Operations Manager, or in-office providers. This role requires strong teamwork, innovative problem-solving, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to identify opportunities and deliver customer-centric solutions with empathy, focus, and compassion. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in high-touch customer or patient-facing roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven multi-disciplinary teams.
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, demonstrating a forward-thinking perspective under pressure, and consistently taking action on challenges.
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, internet navigation, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Use C-I-CARE framework in all patient interactions to ensure a fluid and positive in-office experience, including patient intake, same-day schedule management, follow-up scheduling, understanding billing and insurance, monitoring patient feedback, and assisting with outreach.
  • Perform all front-of-house duties, including check-in/check-out, insurance verification, handling paperwork, prepping tests, and tasking according to service level expectations.
  • Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, participating in problem-solving, and supporting in-office providers with ad hoc requests.
  • Master the technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and the Electronic Medical Record System (1Life), for team and patient interactions and daily tasks.
  • Perform opening and closing duties and daily office upkeep, including maintaining the appearance of patient and employee-facing spaces, restocking supplies, and organization.

  • Competitive salary: the base pay for this position is $24.00 per hour based on a full time schedule, with a 1.25 differential for eligible extended hours.
