About The Position
The Member Support Professional role is crucial in developing independence, building confidence, and supporting our Members towards living a full and meaningful life. The position will support adults 18+ with a variety of disabilities. This position is Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and located at 75 Federal Street, Boston, MA.
Requirements
- Demonstrated background and knowledge of individuals with disabilities
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- High school diploma or GED
- English language skills
Responsibilities
- Provide the support needed by guests/members to successfully participate in community and in-house activities according to their personal needs and goals
- Assist guests/members as needed with ADL’s and ILS
- Assist guests /members physically as needed.
- Review assigned members and review ongoing as needed
- Attend weekly staff meeting
- Identify and provide the support needed by members to successfully become a part of the community and to participate in in-house activities according to each person’s needs, abilities and wishes.
- Implement weekly schedules, menus, and activities.
- Basic Household Tasks and cleanliness of program
- Report any unusual incidents or behaviors to appropriate supervisory personnel and complete incident reports as necessary.
- Review and document shift notes daily for program.
