About The Position

This role is responsible for providing excellent member service, maintaining the checkout and entrance/exit areas, resolving member issues, promoting Sam's Club products and services, and assisting members with self-service technology. The position involves processing purchases, handling payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges, while adhering to company policies and safety standards. Additionally, the Member Specialist will assist with training new associates, ensuring merchandise is properly handled and displayed, and maintaining a safe and secure shopping environment. The role also emphasizes upholding company values such as respecting individuals, acting with integrity, serving customers, and striving for excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provides member service.
  • Maintains the checkout area.
  • Resolves member issues and concerns.
  • Promotes Sam's Club products and services.
  • Provides guidance and support to members regarding self-service technology.
  • Processes member purchases.
  • Assists with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies and procedures.
  • Follows company safety standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Maintains entrance and exit areas.
  • Acknowledges members, verifies membership cards, and identifies member needs.
  • Assists members with purchasing decisions.
  • Locates merchandise.
  • Zones the area, arranges and organizes merchandise.
  • Assists members with transporting items.
  • Maintains a safe shopping environment.
  • Reviews member receipts.
  • Assists with securing and safeguarding Sam's Club assets and property by observing and communicating potential criminal activity.
  • Maintains paperwork, logs, and other required documentation.
  • Executes emergency response procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with company security and safety practices.
  • Assist with the training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures.
  • Teaches new technology and tool functionality.
  • Delivers new programs rollout training.
  • Provides continuous learning and process improvement opportunities.
  • Identifies shrink and damages.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources.
