About The Position
This role will cover branches in St. Joseph and Benton Harbor but may travel to other locations as needed. Honor Credit Union is looking for a Member Specialist to assist our members and be their go-to person for all their financial needs all while providing them with a best-in-class member experience. Serves as a floating Member Specialist by providing support to various branch locations as business needs require. Accountable for providing excellent member service and maintaining strong professional relationships. Assists members with new loans and products, opening and maintaining memberships and new accounts, advises members on various financial solutions and maintains knowledge on products and services. Educates and encourages membership to utilize various digital solutions to enhance overall member experience. Courteously and promptly resolves member questions and problems or properly refers them to appropriate team members. Performs miscellaneous duties as required.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be/or become registered as an MLO and have a Nationwide Licensing Number.
- One to three years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience.
- Must have a demonstrated ability to keep finances in order.
- Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to follow company policies, guidelines and procedures.
- Well organized and able to meet deadlines.
- This position is subject to SAFE Act Registration Requirements.
- Pursuant to the SAFE Act requirements, all loan officers engaged in residential loan mortgage originations (as defined by the SAFE Act) must register with the federal registry system and maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act requirements.
- If at any time the credit union determines that your position requires SAFE Act registration, you will be required to register and to submit to the required SAFE Act background check and registration process.
- Failure to register successfully or to maintain a status in good standing under the SAFE Act will affect your eligibility for continued employment and may result in your immediate termination.
