About The Position

The Minikahda Club, a historic country club near downtown Minneapolis, is seeking a Member Services Supervisor to oversee front desk and valet services. This role is crucial for ensuring a superior level of service to members and guests, managing a team of 13 front desk staff and valet attendants. The supervisor will handle reservations, events, member inquiries, and contribute to the club's reputation by upholding its values of family, fellowship, integrity, respect, and inclusiveness.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a front desk or guest services role.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Ensure safety and security awareness is always maintained among the front desk staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional detail in follow-up.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must always ensure to be a team player.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends and holidays.
  • Passion for creating an exceptional experience for all members and guests.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly to staff and Club directors.
  • Display exemplary examples for staff.
  • Conflict resolution skills that reflect empathy and informal insight of situations.
  • Five years of customer service, front desk or guest services including valet; experience in hospitality or private club environment.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a culture of professionalism, excellence, and member satisfaction, ensuring exceptional service in every interaction.
  • Manage Card Room reservations and communicate updates and schedules to all departments and waitstaff, collaborating with events and catering teams.
  • Support To Go Dining Reservations, ensuring accuracy in order taking and deliveries.
  • Address and resolve member inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly, escalating as needed.
  • Conduct regular communication and 1:1s with staff for feedback, coaching, and training.
  • Participate in interviews and hiring decisions for new staff.
  • Manage timesheet hours and labor budgets.
  • Manage and edit the Member Services “SOP” binder and communicate updates to the Concierge team.
  • Manage/Create scripts for events and phone usage updates.
  • Oversee lost and found and coat areas, and assist valet staff when needed.
  • Establish clear expectations for appropriate attire at the concierge desk and reinforce club culture.
  • Develop and implement Concierge teamwork schedules.
  • Provide recommendations to members and guests based on a deep understanding of the club's facilities, services, and amenities.
  • Attend weekly BEO meetings.
  • Perform other duties as needed by the business and other leaders.
