About The Position

This is a part-time role where you will be joining a team of highly engaged financial service professionals dedicated to providing an exceptional Member Experience. In this role, you will provide compassionate service while positioning Meridian’s products and services to add value to our Members’ financial wellbeing. The role involves promoting Meridian in the community by participating in community activities or events, and supporting local community organizations and activities through Business Development and the Good Neighbour Program.

Requirements

• Previous work experience in a customer service role, with cash handling experience as an asset.
• High School diploma or relevant working experience.
• Flexibility to work all scheduled hours which include some evenings and Saturdays.
• Proven understanding of computer systems and programs including Microsoft Office, and Outlook.
• Strong negotiation, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
• Effective organizational time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Confidence and willingness to learn and integrate AI and emerging technologies into new ways of working.
• The ability to analyze, evaluate and interpret information from various sources and apply logic and problem solving to make decisions.
• Leverage data and insights to identify, prioritize and improve member experience and business efficiency.
• Comfortable navigating and embracing change and uncertainty, ask more questions, explore more options. Continuously learn and grow.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with low/no code tools like the Microsoft Power Platform and generative AI productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide a superior Member experience through the identification and promotion of products and services and where appropriate, and provide qualified referrals based on identified needs.
• Demonstrate perseverance in difficult situations by showcasing understanding to Members’ perspectives, and creating action plans to resolve their concerns if they arise.
• Ensure proper due diligence by posting all transactions accurately and timely.
• Maintain discretion and confidentiality to respect Members’ privacy.
• Participate in branch activities in support of expanding the Member relationship and growing our Digital Ambassador Program.
• Act as an engaged teammate and trusted partner to build and cultivate internal relationships within the Member Experience teams and cross-functional departments, while ensuring achievement of Retail Experience goals.
• Demonstrate empathy with colleagues by communicating thoughts and ideas openly while promoting inclusivity and a sense of belonging towards others in the workplace.
• Continue individual learning and development to align with Meridian values while delivering on action plans aligned with Employee Engagement results.
• Promote Meridian in your community by participating in community activities or events while demonstrating our values.
• Support local community organizations and activities through Business Development and Good Neighbour Program including planning, preparation, and delivery of Meridian hosted community events.
