About The Position

The primary function of this position is to provide excellent member services.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-4 years customer service experience.
  • Minimum of 16 years of age.
  • Computer proficiency using standard word processing and data entry skills.
  • Ability to learn, process and use YMCA software programs.
  • Math and calculator proficiency.
  • Know and understand how to use the telephone system and voice mail.
  • Filing and basic office procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • A high school diploma, or its equivalent, is preferred.
  • Basic member service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent member services.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with staff, parents, program participants, and the general public.
  • Work as a team member and possess the core values that meet the YMCA mission.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding personal information on children, family, and YMCA staff.
  • Maintain current certifications in First Aid, Safety & Risk Management, Child Abuse Prevention and New Employee Orientation, and other department/Branch designated training, or the ability to obtain within 60-90 days of employment.
