About The Position

As a Member Services Representative, you will serve as the first point of contact for members and health plan partners, handling a high volume of inbound calls through multi-issue phone queues. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while accurately documenting each interaction in accordance with organizational standards. The role requires maintaining or exceeding productivity benchmarks, with a minimum expectation of managing 50+ calls per day.

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficient in data entry and navigating multiple systems simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare industry practices.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a call center or help desk environment is preferred.
  • Experience with medical office support tasks such as scanning, filing, and faxing.
  • Basic project coordination or support experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and professionally to incoming calls from members and health plan representatives.
  • Resolve inquiries related to benefits, claims, eligibility, and other healthcare-related topics.
  • Accurately documents call details and outcomes in the system.
  • Maintain compliance with HIPAA and internal data privacy standards.
  • Meet or exceed established quality assurance and productivity metrics.
