About The Position

We are seeking motivated and customer-focused Member Services Representatives (MSR)/Relationship Bankers II to build strong relationships with members and provide personalized financial solutions. This role combines customer service, sales, and financial support to help members meet both current and future financial needs. You will play a key role in delivering an exceptional member experience through in-person interactions, phone calls, and digital communication, while identifying opportunities to recommend appropriate financial products and services.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 6–24 months of banking/credit union experience opening accounts and processing loans (preferred but flexible if strong retail background)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales or retail environment with goals/targets
  • Strong sales and upselling ability (required for success in this role)
  • Cash handling or register experience
  • Strong customer service skills with ability to handle complex interactions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook
  • Basic math skills (rates, percentages, calculations)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be bonded and obtain notary designation

  • Credit union or banking experience
  • Knowledge of financial products and services
  • Experience supporting lending or collections teams
  • Experience with core systems (e.g., Symitar)
  • Retail sales backgrounds (e.g., T-Mobile, Best Buy) highly considered

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members through exceptional service
  • Use a consultative approach to identify financial needs and recommend solutions
  • Open and maintain consumer accounts and process loan applications
  • Educate members on financial products including loans, insurance, and account services
  • Cross-sell products and services to meet goals and enhance member relationships
  • Process transactions accurately and efficiently, including updates to account information
  • Calculate loan terms, rates, payment amounts, and financing details
  • Collaborate with internal teams (lending, loan processing) to ensure seamless service
  • Follow up with members throughout the loan process
  • Handle inbound/outbound calls, emails, and in-person interactions
  • Perform administrative duties such as scanning, faxing, and report handling
  • Ensure compliance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
