About The Position

The Member Services Representative (MSR) is the first point of contact for members and guests. This position is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, handling membership inquiries and transactions, and helping to maintain a clean, comfortable, and friendly “Judgement Free Zone®” environment. This role is key to ensuring a positive member experience through friendly and professional interactions, prompt support, and a strong understanding of club culture, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must work at least 16 hours per month.
  • Must be able to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Must be able to handle membership inquiries and transactions.
  • Must be able to maintain a clean, comfortable, and friendly environment.
  • Must have a strong understanding of club culture, policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to respond to member questions and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Must be able to assist members with account inquiries, changes, and billing questions.
  • Must be able to provide information about Planet Fitness memberships and amenities.
  • Must be able to assist potential members with tours and sign-ups.
  • Must be able to promote and explain current membership specials and upgrades (e.g., Black Card).
  • Must be able to meet or exceed membership and customer service goals.
  • Must be able to check members into the system using club’s POS system
  • Must be able to answer phones professionally and efficiently
  • Must be able to process new memberships, cancellations and payments accurately.
  • Must be able to follow opening and closing procedures as assigned.
  • Must be able to respond promptly and professionally to members’ questions and concerns and inform Assistant Manager or General Manager if any issues arise.
  • Must be able to perform assigned cleaning duties throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to help maintain the cleanliness of the facility, including restrooms, locker rooms, and workout areas.
  • Must be able to ensure weights are returned to appropriate rack area
  • Must be able to regularly walk the floor to ensure the club remains clean, organized, and safe.
  • Must be able to refill cleaning stations and supplies as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Greet members, prospective members and guests in a friendly, and professional manner.
  • Create a positive club experience by providing outstanding customer service.
  • Respond to member questions and concernspromptly and courteously.
  • Assist members with account inquiries, changes, and billing questions.
  • Provide information about Planet Fitness memberships and amenities.
  • Assist potential members with tours and sign-ups.
