Requirements

  • Minimum of one-year experience in a financial services call center.
  • Strong cross-selling and telemarketing skills.
  • Excellent member service and telephone communication skills.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of financial products and services.
  • Windows, Word, Excel, and Internet proficiency.
  • A high degree of confidentiality.
  • A positive, professional image within the workplace.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities to answer incoming calls professionally, ensuring efficient and courteous member interactions.
  • Solid understanding of the Credit Union's financial goals and compliance regulations, such as BSA and OFAC.
  • Skills in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Adept at utilizing account information to assess member needs, offering tailored products and services, and consistently achieving sales and performance goals.
  • Familiarity with software tools for account management.
  • Working knowledge of compliance regulations.
  • Comfortable working independently.
  • Coordinating with various departments to process requests.
  • Completing service transactions accurately and in line with established policies.

Responsibilities

  • Play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing member relationships through high-quality consultative service.
  • Identify member needs and match them with the value-added products and services offered.
  • Process transactions, update accounts, open new accounts, take in loan applications, and address all member inquiries.
  • Maintain the Credit Union's service standards while adhering to policies and procedures to achieve individual and team performance and sales goals.
  • Support business development efforts by conducting outbound sales and service calls.
  • Provide frontline coverage at branches and the call center, ensuring a seamless experience for members.
