About The Position

SkyPoint Federal Credit Union is a community-based financial institution located in Montgomery County, Maryland, serving the greater Washington D.C. metro region. The Member Service Specialist is responsible for performing branch functions, including processing transactions accurately and efficiently, opening new accounts, maintaining membership records, and focusing on building member relationships, loyalty, and growing the membership base. This role involves educating members on credit union products and services, safeguarding sensitive information, and adhering to compliance regulations.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience
Cash Handling Experience in member/customer service preferably in a call center, retail banking or financial institution
Experience in working in a credit union/bank environment

Responsibilities

Give prompt, efficient, and accurate service; processes all member transactions
Open new membership and performs maintenance on accounts including IRAs and business accounts.
Council and educate members on financial matters and available products/services offered.
Use tack and experience-based knowledge to research and resolve member inquiries with professionalism.
Provide member technical assistance for online, mobile & telephone banking, Bill Payment, and other eServices.
Float to support other Branches
Conduct credit analysis for possible cross sell
Cross-sell products and services based on member needs.
Interview members for potential loan applicants and initiates
Use CRM software to track referrals, member follow up and sales performance goals.
Perform a variety of administrative duties that support member service/branch
End of day balancing
ATM processing
Cash analysis/verification
