About The Position

Assist members and potential members with their Credit Union needs; provide expertise in services such as IRAs, certificates of deposit, electronic funds transfer, home banking, etc. Explain services, set up new accounts, assist members with their consumer lending needs, and respond to problems. Assist members with their financial transactions involving receiving and disbursing cash and other negotiable instruments. This position has work hours that may vary during heavy vacation coverage times. The position requires travel/work at various FFCU offices which requires flexibility in scheduling of time and location.

Requirements

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A high school education or GED.
  • Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
  • Working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union deposit products (Reg E, Reg CC, Reg D, Truth-in-Savings Act).
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills and computer knowledge.
  • Bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • As required or requested, may exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

  • Serve in the capacity of a Floater in various branches and locations within the assigned geographic area to include Branch and Call Center operations.
  • Qualify for, obtain and maintain annual registration in the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS).
  • Qualify and obtain a Credit Life and Disability License.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process member financial transactions, including deposits, withdrawals and loan payments; sell money orders and transfer amounts from member accounts as directed.
  • Assist members and potential members with opening and closing accounts, answer questions about products and services and resolve problems that are within their authority to resolve; refer problems that are beyond their authority to their supervisor, along with their recommendations.
  • Explain loan programs to members and recommends loan options.
  • Process loan applications and forward to loan officer for decision.
  • Prepare and/or review all loan documents for completeness and accuracy.
  • Disburse approved loans in a timely manner.
  • Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sell services to members.
  • Responsible for compliance with Credit Union policies including the Bank Secrecy Act and Customer Identification Program.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
