The Member Service & Sales (Teller) role focuses on providing exceptional member service by assessing member needs, advising to meet those needs, and assisting with transactions. This includes opening new accounts, servicing existing accounts, and explaining products and services. The role also involves recognizing member needs, educating on options for managing financial transactions through MACU tools and resources, and cross-selling products and services as needs arise through a consultation approach. A consistent focus on increasing member satisfaction and account retention is expected, along with meeting sales and service goals. The role also utilizes lead lists for outbound efforts to existing membership and resolves member problems by clarifying complaints, determining causes, providing solutions, and following up to ensure resolution. In Branch Operations, the role maintains cash drawers, initiates wire transfers, cashiers checks, and cash advances, creates VISA cards, and opens/processes IRA transactions, certificates of deposit, and redeems savings bonds. Judgment is used for placing check holds and issuing fee reversals, and assisting fraud victims. The role accurately and efficiently processes transactions, assists in branch opening/closing procedures, and is responsible for branch security. Other responsibilities include representing the credit union professionally, keeping the work area neat, responding to communications promptly, participating in product knowledge courses, and complying with all regulations.
