In this role, you’ll support members with everyday financial transactions while creating a positive, professional, and memorable service experience. You’ll help members feel comfortable, ask and answer questions, identify solutions, and connect them with services that support their holistic financial well-being. This is more than a transaction-based role. As a Member Service Representative, you’ll have the opportunity to build relationships by making someone’s day better, helping members navigate important financial moments, and grow your knowledge in the credit union industry. Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good basic math skills.
- The ability to stay organized and accurate in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort using computers, business equipment, and related applications.
- A professional, reliable, and member-focused approach.
- The ability to pass a criminal background and bondability check.
Nice To Haves
- Cash handling experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Greet members warmly and create a friendly, welcoming experience.
- Accurately process deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, and other transactions.
- Maintain and balance a cash drawer with care and attention to detail.
- Answer member questions in person and by phone.
- Help members with account updates, service requests, and basic e-services support.
- Listen carefully, ask questions, problem-solve thoughtfully, and connect members with the right resources.
- Support fraud prevention by staying alert and following procedures.
- Share information about products and services that may benefit members.
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused branch environment.
- Help keep the branch lobby and work areas organized, stocked, and ready to serve members.
