MSR I: Under general supervision, acting as a liaison for the credit union to maintain member loyalty by efficiently meeting the needs or requests of the member. Provide accurate account information as requested by the member and provide information about the various credit union products and services to members and prospective members. Opens new accounts, resolves issues, and professionally handles members' inquiries face to face. Provides a variety of transactional services for members' accounts on deposit and loan products. Ability to recognize additional financial service needs of the member and able to promote and explain these services/products to the member. MSR II: Under moderate supervision, acting as a liaison for the credit union to maintain member loyalty by efficiently meeting the needs or requests of the member. Provide accurate account information as requested by the member and provide information about the various credit union products and services to members and prospective members. Opens new accounts, resolves issues, and professionally handles members' inquiries face to face. Provides a variety of transactional services for members' accounts on deposit and loan products. Ability to recognize additional financial service needs of the member and able to promote and explain these services/products to the member. Ability to assist with Teller functions. Conduct on the job training for MSR I.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (general studies) – Required
  • GED – In Lieu of H.S. Diploma
  • Twelve (12) months Sales/Teller/Member Service Experience – Required (MSR I)
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in the lending process including input, funding, maintenance.
  • Adherence to BSA, the Privacy Act and Elder Abuse reporting is a requirement of the position
  • Assist with lending up to and including imputing: funding and maintenance of loans.
  • Participation in Business Development activities - REQUIRED

Nice To Haves

  • Twelve (12) Financial Services Background - Preferred (MSR I)
  • Eighteen (18) months Financial Services Background - Preferred (MSR II)

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison for the credit union to maintain member loyalty by efficiently meeting the needs or requests of the member.
  • Provide accurate account information as requested by the member.
  • Provide information about the various credit union products and services to members and prospective members.
  • Open new accounts, resolve issues, and professionally handle members' inquiries face to face.
  • Provide a variety of transactional services for members' accounts on deposit and loan products.
  • Recognize additional financial service needs of the member and promote and explain these services/products to the member.
  • Assist with Teller functions (MSR II only).
  • Conduct on the job training for MSR I (MSR II only).
  • Cross-sell products and services based on member needs, in accordance with the Credit Union's program standards.
  • Assist members with routine account-related requests such as: Funds transfers; Automatic funds transfers (AFTs); Stop payments; Inquiries about bank deposit products and service charges; Inquiries about ATM and Debit Card usage and limits; Inquiries about checking and savings accounts transactions; Inquiries about funds availability; Check verification requests by third parties.
