About The Position

Newfoundland and Labrador Credit Union (NLCU) is currently looking for energetic, motivated people to fill the position of: Member Service Advisor III (Lending and Investments Specialist). This is a Full Time, Permanent position based in Mount Pearl. A Member Service Advisor III is an essential part of the NLCU team. Dedicated to assisting members with investment and lending needs, the Member Service Advisor III delivers customized financial recommendations to current and new members through identification of their financial goals/life stages. The Member Service Advisor III professionally demonstrates NLCU’s core values, assists in the promotion and sale of NLCU products and services, while adhering to policy and procedure. As an account opening specialist, a Member Service Advisor III uses interview techniques to build a relationships and uncover/meet the financial needs of new and existing members. A key role for the Member Service Advisor III is the solicitation of new business and retention of existing business in accordance with branch and employee sales objectives, including referrals to other NLCU specialists/partners. Maximizing the members’ use of NLCU products and services in a customized approach to meet the members needs/address their concerns is top priority.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years’ experience in a similar lending and investments focused role in financial services
  • A valid Mutual Funds license
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements including, but not limited to Privacy and Anti-Money Laundering
  • Ability to set a personal example of service and professionalism
