About The Position

Chevron Federal Credit Union is seeking a Member Relationship Advisor to perform branch functions while providing exceptional member experience. This role involves identifying member financial needs and recommending products and services to meet those needs. The advisor may handle complex transactions, participate in outbound events, support other branch employees, and undertake assigned branch tasks. Requirements

  • 2 years of related branch, call center, or other related financial service experience required.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Ability to write and speak effectively in English using correct spelling and grammar.
  • Basic math skills including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages using a 10-key.
  • Proficient in the use of basic applications in a Windows-based environment, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Moderate keyboard skills at 40 wpm.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change.
  • Ability to quickly learn specialized applications and systems.
  • Initiative and self-direction.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with people at all levels.
  • Sound problem-solving and decision-making ability, including the ability to prioritize.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistent and exceptional member experience with every member interaction.
  • Build relationships with members through needs assessments and product and service recommendations.
  • Advise members on improving financial health, including savings, debt management, credit building, lending options, digital banking, and marketing campaigns.
  • Proactively outreach to members and prospects, performing follow-up activities to deepen relationships.
  • Assist members with loan applications, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documents.
  • Review loan applications, gather credit histories, and assess credit risks in coordination with Consumer Lending.
  • Engage members with mortgage and other partners to help achieve financial goals.
  • Participate in and potentially lead business development events to identify sales prospects and follow up on leads to meet individual and branch sales targets.
  • Assist members with financial transactions, including cash and checks, adhering to policies and procedures, identifying fraud, and balancing cash negotiables daily.
  • Perform daily branch duties and responsibilities as assigned by management, including servicing ATMs and other branch operations.
  • Handle more complex member service functions and transactions.
  • Act as a resource to train new and existing branch employees.
  • Support branch manager in branch activities, including monthly audits and branch reports, as assigned.
