Microsoft AI is seeking a Member of Technical Staff, Multimodal Inference, to help build the next wave of capabilities for our personalized AI assistant, Copilot. The ideal candidate enjoys creating world-class consumer experiences and products in a fast-paced environment. You will actively contribute to the development of AI models powering our innovative products and work across engineering, research, and everything in between. Your contributions will span model architecture, data curation, training and inference infrastructure, evaluation protocols, alignment, and reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF), along with other cutting-edge topics in AI. Microsoft AI is building foundational models to enable responsible and efficient artificial general intelligence. These models require large compute capacity, and as a Member of Technical Staff, Multimodal Inference, you will be responsible for building large-scale inference infrastructure and supporting the efficient serving of multimodal generative models in our products. You will work closely with research scientists and product engineers to achieve optimal serving latency and throughput using novel research and engineering techniques. As a core member of the engineering team, you will also drive best practices, influence architectural decisions, and shape the roadmap for relevant software and hardware components. Your work will directly impact business goals and enable the next wave of growth and innovation in AI.
