Requirements

• At least one undeniable signal of excellence: built and shipped ML systems at a top tech company, early applied scientist at a startup that built something real, notable open source work, or top-tier CS/ML program.
• Strong fundamentals in ML/AI: experience taking models from prototype to production.
• Shipped meaningful ML-powered products end-to-end, systems that people rely on.
• Comfortable with the full stack of applied work: data, modeling, evaluation, deployment.
• Must have experience building LLM-powered products, pipelines, or agentic systems in production.
• Must have experience with enterprise data systems or analytics infrastructure.
• Must have operated in a high-growth, high-ambiguity environment.
• Thinks like an owner, focusing on the big picture.

Responsibilities

• Turn Research Into Product: Design and build the reasoning and modeling components at the core of our intelligence engine, including retrieval, orchestration, evaluation, and fine-tuning.
• Transform promising research techniques into robust, production-grade systems.
• Own the full development loop: experiment, measure, ship, and iterate on real client data.
• Make the Product Smarter: Build and improve the models and pipelines that power judgment at scale for enterprise clients.
• Instrument systems to catch failure modes early and use them for concrete improvements.
• Balance rigor with speed to meet client needs promptly.
• Partner with Founders: Collaborate on roadmap, trade-offs, and technical vision.
• Ship directly to enterprise clients, ensuring immediate and measurable impact.
• Set the Bar: Define excellence in applied science within an AI-first organization and raise the team's standards as it grows.
