As mobile becomes a critical part of the expert experience, the company is investing in a next-generation Android platform used by thousands of AI experts worldwide. This role will lead the technical direction of Android development, building high-performance native applications while establishing the architecture, engineering standards, and best practices that will support the platform's continued growth.

Requirements

5+ years of professional Android software engineering experience.
Strong expertise building native Android applications with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Experience shipping and maintaining production applications through the Google Play Store.
Deep understanding of modern Android architecture, application lifecycle, testing, debugging, and performance optimization.
Demonstrated experience making architectural decisions and driving technical direction across multiple projects.
Strong software engineering fundamentals with experience building scalable, maintainable mobile applications.
Experience mentoring engineers and helping raise engineering quality across a team.
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across product and engineering organizations.
High ownership mindset with a bias toward execution and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

Lead the architecture, development, and long-term evolution of the company's native Android platform.
Design, build, and ship high-quality Android applications using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
Own major product initiatives from technical strategy and architecture through production launch and ongoing iteration.
Define Android engineering standards, testing strategies, release processes, and architectural best practices.
Partner closely with Product, Design, AI, Backend, and Infrastructure teams to deliver exceptional mobile experiences.
Build reusable components and scalable application architecture that supports long-term product growth.
Optimize application performance, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
Leverage AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering velocity while maintaining a high quality bar.
Mentor engineers and help establish a strong mobile engineering culture as the team grows.
Influence the long-term mobile roadmap while solving meaningful problems for a global network of AI experts.
