About the Team The role will be part of the NCM (Nutanix Cloud Manager) team, which is focused on developing a holistic multi-cloud management platform. This team operates primarily in Zone 1 and is dedicated to enhancing the way enterprises build, use, operate, and govern their applications and IT infrastructure. The mission at Nutanix is to simplify cloud management in a way that empowers organizations to achieve intelligent operations, optimize resource utilization, and maintain security across varying cloud environments. You will report to the Sr Manager, Engineering, who emphasizes a supportive and collaborative leadership style, prioritizing mentorship and professional growth for each team member. The role will be a hybrid setup, requiring you to come into the office a few days each week to engage with your colleagues and participate in team activities. This flexible arrangement promotes a healthy work-life balance while allowing the team to maintain strong connections and foster effective teamwork. There are no required travel commitments for this position, enabling you to focus fully on your responsibilities and contribute to the NCM team without the need for travel disruptions.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of QA experience with a focus on system test, performance, and load testing.
  • Proficient in automation using Python (preferred), Perl, C, C++, or Java.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Solid experience in qualifying management software infrastructure and microservices integration/testing.
  • In-depth familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving, debugging skills, and attention to detail.
  • Strong working knowledge of Linux, distributed systems, and virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM, Hyper-V).
  • Experience with version control systems (GIT) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins/CircleCI).

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute design test plans and test cases for NCM products.
  • Define automation plans and test strategies to enhance product release timelines.
  • Maintain end-to-end quality ownership across all testing, automation, and feature delivery aspects.
  • Identify, document, and address edge cases, scalability, and performance issues in distributed systems.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to provide feedback for improving overall product experience.
  • Guide and mentor junior team members in functional areas and automation practices.
  • Automate tests and enhance existing automated test execution for efficiency.
  • Achieve a high overall quality index (QI) for products/features consistently throughout the year.
