About The Position
The YMCA is looking for enthusiastic, customer-focused individuals to join our team! As a part of this dynamic team, you’ll be at the heart of creating welcoming, inclusive environments for individuals and families to connect, grow, and thrive. The 3Rivers FCU Family YMCA is seeking an enthusiastic and attentive part-time Member Experience Specialist to create a welcoming environment for all visitors of the Y, connecting them to the Y and their wellbeing journey, showing the facility and equipment, selling memberships, and completing all assigned membership services, duties and transactions with excellence.
Requirements
- Candidates must be committed to contributing to the mission, culture, and values of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- Must have a high school diploma or the equivalent. If currently enrolled in high school, a diploma will need to be provided upon completion.
- Excellent communication, supervisory, and organizational skills.
- Excellent human relations skills and enthusiasm.
- An elevated level of organization, flexibility, and ability to handle difficult situations effectively.
- Ability to relate to, welcome, and communicate with diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
Responsibilities
- Ensure a safe, positive, and welcoming environment for all to belong at the Y.
- Build effective, authentic relationships with members.
- Exemplify outstanding customer service and a sense of community to Members, Participants, and Coworkers to foster their connection and growth with the Y and within the community.
