About The Position

This position exists to serve our members at the Alabama Credit Union's Orange Beach Branch. As a frontline role, a Member Experience Representative will onboard new members by opening accounts and providing a relationship-building experience. This role also involves assisting members with loan requests and financial transactions, including handling cash and negotiable instruments, while identifying opportunities to introduce additional Alabama Credit Union products and services. Duties include accurately and efficiently opening accounts, assisting members with basic financial transactions (deposits, withdrawals, credit card payments, balance transfers, check/debit card orders), and providing information about products and services to meet members' financial needs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Customer service skills.
• Cash handling experience.
• Good computer skills (including the ability to use Microsoft Office products and web-based applications).
• Ability to follow lengthy procedures for account opening.
• Ability to describe and sell products and services to members.
• Ability to change focus efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• A desire to help others in your community.
• Interpersonal skills: Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
• Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Nice To Haves

• One to three years of similar or related experience.
• Bilingual (Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Onboard new members by opening new accounts.
• Provide a relationship-building experience for members.

• Provide opportunities for members to utilize additional products and services offered by Alabama Credit Union.
• Conduct deposits and withdrawals.

• Provide great service and hone salesmanship.
• Help people in the workplace and community.
