Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 6 months to 1-year related experience in a customer service position
• Must have pleasant and professional phone manner and service skills
• Ability to handle a high volume of calls and be able to work for extended length of time on the phone
• Must be computer literate and have skills in effective written and oral communication
• Familiar with 10-Key and type at least 35 words per minute
• Must have excellent interpersonal, member service and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively communicate and work with members and other employees

Responsibilities

• Assist member with account inquiries, transfer of funds, and stop payments
• Provide history and statement/check copies
• Process wire transfers
• Ability to assist members with Online Services
• Conduct loan interviews with members via phone
• Review loan applications and advise members of loan policies and current rates
• Assist in the process of clear vehicle titles and paid loan documents
• Open share, share draft, club accounts, and IRA accounts
• Redeem, renew and rollover Certificates of Deposit
• Issue, reissue, or block Visa debit/credit cards
• Assist members with fraud/non-fraud disputes
• Maintain effective oral and written communication with credit union employees
• Provide prompt, professional, and courteous service to member
• Use and understand the phone system as instructed
• Actively expand existing member relationships by cross selling products/services
