About The Position
The ideal candidate is responsible for the daily operations of the Member Card Room including but not limited to arranging furniture, restocking food and drinks, bussing tables and plating food items. The Card Room Attendant will record daily member/guest attendance, inventory and ordering of supplies. The Card Room Attendant will greet members and communicate all member feedback and concerns to the Manager at the end of each shift.
Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must possess moderate computer skills.
- Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette.
- Knowledge of the appropriate table settings, service ware and menu items.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language sufficient to understand menus, special promotions, record orders, and communicate with guests to explain and record orders.
- Ability to remember, recite and promote the variety of menu items.
- Ability to operate beverage equipment
Nice To Haves
- Ideal candidate will have occupied a similar or higher position for one to two years.
- A minimum of one to three years’ experience in a similar position
Responsibilities
- Responsible for cleaning and maintaining the club room, storage area and kitchen
- Attend to members and member-guests needs graciously, promptly and with a smile
- Replenish, organize and display snacks, beverages, dish and glassware throughout the day
- Complete opening and closing side work including food items and dishware
- Place beverage and food orders upon request
- Maintain inventory levels and order items as needed
- Service snacks and beverages to members and member-guest
- Move furniture including but not limited to tables and chairs as required
- Complete daily shift reporting
- Communicate with Manager to ensure members and member-guests requests are fulfilled
- Perform other functions as assigned by management
