About The Position

Kitsap Credit Union is actively hiring for Member Associate I, II and III (Teller/Personal Banker) positions all over the area, including: our Kingston branch. These positions are responsible for creating exceptional member experience while processing transactions, as well as offering and demonstrating all-digital, remote and self-service options.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• 1 Year Financial Institution experience with New Accounts and Consumer Lending experience (HE/HELOC experience preferred but not required)
• 1 Year Cash handling, customer service and/or retail sales experience
• Identify and contribute new ideas and methods to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of processes and procedures
• Must be registered with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) within 30 days of hire and comply with the SAFE Act regulations
• Meet or exceed referral and sales goals
• Provide guidance, training and support to junior team members
• Assist members and non-members in opening share, new accounts and basic lending

Nice To Haves

• HE/HELOC experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Assist members with their financial needs and transactions.
• Identify, develop, and refer business relationships to build market position
• Educate and introduce current and new members to new products and services and assist in self-service options
• Foster and maintain constructive member relationships
• Review and maintain knowledge of products,
• Understand and recommend products and services based on the member’s needs
• Participate in sales and community events to contribute to branch and credit union goals
• Use effective sales techniques that result in a positive member experience and meet or exceed sales goals
• Maintain knowledge and adhere to operational, regulatory, security, and compliance standards
• Accepts and processes all financial transactions accurately
• Maintains responsibility and follows proper balancing procedures
• Promote and effectively demonstrate digital, remote and self-serve options, with continual education as new products and digital services are introduced
