About The Position

In this role, you will build and grow strong member relationships by sourcing, processing, and delivering credit union products and services while ensuring a high-quality service experience. You will guide members through product selection using a consultative approach, manage applications from multiple channels, and support the full lifecycle from application through funding. This position is ideal for someone who is sales-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Minimum of two years of consumer lending sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding goals.
  • Strong consultative sales and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial information and make informed recommendations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and lending origination systems.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor when working with members both in person and over the phone.
  • Effective listening skills.
  • Must be bondable.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Credit union experience preferred.
  • Experience in outbound sales calling (tele-sales) is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with consumer lending, credit review, and consumer products is desired (insurance, banking, personal loans).

Responsibilities

  • Build strong member relationships by providing personalized service and recommending appropriate products and services based on member needs.
  • Meet or exceed established goals for product originations, loan funding, and cross-sell performance.
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in processing applications, ensuring minimal errors and adherence to deadlines and funding targets.
  • Manage inbound and outbound loan applications, including phone-based interactions, web applications, and third-party origination channels.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of deposit and consumer lending products, services, and processes, including ancillary offerings.
  • Review and interpret credit reports, loan structures, and underwriting decisions.
  • Exercise sound judgment and follow established procedures to mitigate risk and protect the credit union.
  • Proactively manage pipeline activity by following up on pending applications, tasks, and sales opportunities.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with members and internal partners, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable lending laws, regulations, and credit union policies.
  • Uphold ethical standards and escalate concerns or policy violations as appropriate.
