The Foundry Team Leader oversees daily foundry operations, ensuring safety, quality, and production goals are met while leading and supporting the team. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, and hands-on involvement in workflow management, equipment oversight, and team development. As the Foundry Team lead you will actively lead the Foundry to meet production goals while maintaining quality work in all stages of the foundry process. This includes managing the workflow, proactively addressing issues that may impact production goals, communicating with leadership, inspecting parts for defects, ensuring operates stay on task, and utilizing SAP to accomplish administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Always promotes safety as a top priority
  • Adheres to company rules and policies
  • Supports foundry goals and enables their achievement
  • Supports all Foundry leadership as directed
  • Manages and instructs Foundry team members toward the proper completion of their work
  • Maintains and promotes good housekeeping throughout the Foundry
  • Complies with GIW procedures and is trained and knowledgeable regarding current procedures
  • Monitors maintenance status of equipment and communicates needs to leadership with as necessary.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management
  • Consistently monitor the progress of Foundry personnel throughout their shift
  • Must be willing to work any shift if necessary
