About The Position

Subsidiary Steel Dynamics Responsibilities Collaborate in the development of a preventative maintenance program that enhances plant uptime, enabling downstream operations to more effectively meet customer requirements and mitigate exposure to high-risk hazards. Help develop and install EAF technology that improves safety, plant up time and product variability. Assist with coordinating planned maintenance - down days and outages. Work with operations to improve the steelmaking process by improving yield, increasing production, decreasing costs, and enhancing product quality. Work with IT to develop a maintenance program custom to the mill's requirements.

Requirements

• B.S. degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or related engineering field.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems.

Nice To Haves

• Prior mechanical maintenance experience.
• Meltshop experience.
• Experience with preventative maintenance systems.
