About The Position
Charter Manufacturing is a fourth-generation family-owned business seeking Melt Deck Operators for their Charter Casting facility in Shawano. Requirements
- 1 year prior experience working in manufacturing, foundry, metals, or related field
- Lives by company values of trust, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement
- High School Diploma (GED works program available)
- Ability to push, pull, lift, and move up to 60lbs
- Basic math and problem solving skills
Responsibilities
- Transport melting materials and supplies from the warehouse or other locations to the melt deck.
- Operate melting furnace charging equipment.
- Learn to operate the melting furnaces.
- Remove full slag hoppers from the melt deck and transport to commercial refuse containers.
- Responsible for own safety and the safety of others in the area.
